Ultimate Machine was a dream started in a garage. Mike Wente was born into a racing family. His father, Bob Wente, was a legendary driver in the United States Auto Club. Bob was the 1963 Midget Car National Champion, raced in the Indianapolis 500 placed ninth after starting thirty-second, and finished his career third all time in USAC National midget feature wins. During this time Mike was working on his fathers' race cars, manufacturing parts, and building his mechanical knowledge.
Watching his father race his entire life, he eventually moved into driving himself. Having a degree from Ranken Technical College, and with his real world mechanical knowledge he eventually went on to support his racing career by also manufacturing parts. After machining parts in his garage he learned he needed more space and moved into a 680 square feet location inside a business incubator. From there he started to build a client base, many of which are still supported to this day. With the success of the business, he was able to pay off his Small Business Administration loan early and move to a larger space. Eventually, the company moved to our 60 Millwell Court location.
Today Ultimate Machine is still a family owned small business operating off of the same values, goals, and aspirations that Mike built the company. With nine CNC machines and over 20 manual machines Ultimate Machine is an integral team member to many diverse manufacturing industries as well as original equipment manufacturers. We have nearly four decades of manufacturing experience, and we look forward to helping with your machining needs.
